Thank you for taking the time to visit my site.
It may look like I just work, go to school, and practice martial arts, but there's a lot more to my life than a resume can show. I find the most joy in being productively busy, and in taking on tasks that seem outside my expertise.
This past fall I worked 20 hours a week and taught martial arts for 10 more, while carrying a full-time course load as a commuter.
My other biggest joy is knowing how versatile I am.
My resume may look technology-focused, but I believe my greatest strength is adapting and succeeding in unfamiliar situations. At my very first job, a supermarket, I jumped in wherever I was needed. In a short time I worked cashier, front end, deli, frozen, dairy, and carts, learning to add value wherever I landed.
That adaptability followed me into my internships. At my first, I joined a short-staffed IT team and ended up running much of its day-to-day work while also contributing to marketing. Later, I supported a marketing team with technical work like building and migrating websites, and helped the design team with graphics. Working across technology, marketing, and design has given me a skill set that lets me contribute in many different ways.
I have no reason to disappoint. My family has given me a great life with the freedom to thrive and responsibilities to care for. They always taught me that good grades are the bare minimum, and that the work you do outside school is what makes you succeed. I want to start my own company one day, and the skills I'm building now will shape that future.
If you're an employer or recruiter reading this, don't worry if I'm not the person you're looking for. I trust your instinct, and I trust my ability to succeed in the end.
